1856 1C Flying Eagle Cent PCGS PR64 (PHOTO SEAL)

Choice Proof (13: 4,4,5) Medium mirrors. Full strike. Light toning, mostly on the obverse. A classic cent issue. As the first small cent, it was highly desired when it was discovered by the collecting community in 1857. A few hundred examples had been made for Congressional distribution in 1856, and when collectors found out, they asked the Mint if they had any more. The Mint obliged and sold more 1856 Flying Eagle cents to collectors, making this a regular issue in the process. This example is close to gem and has great eye appeal and very few marks.
